Is this legal advice?
No — and that's fine. Our documents are professionally structured templates based on published UK government guidance. You adapt them to your business and check them against current law and your insurance. They give you a strong, inspection-ready starting point, not legal advice.
What format are the documents?
Editable, print-ready PDFs, branded with your business details. Each one has fill-in fields, so you can complete it on screen in any PDF reader, or print it and fill it in by hand. No special software, no Word or Excel needed.
How do I get my documents after I buy?
They appear in your account under "Your documents". Open one to download a clean, print-ready PDF, or grab a whole pack as a ZIP. They stay there for you to re-download whenever you like — buy once, use forever, no subscription.
Do I need an account?
Not to buy. To download, you sign in — it's how we know the documents are yours. There's no password: we email you a one-tap link. Sign in with the same email you used at checkout and your purchases are there waiting.
How do you brand them with my business?
In the free Builder: you enter your business name, address and logo once, and every document is branded with them. It all happens in your browser — your details never leave your device, and we never ask about or store anything about your staff.
What does the licence cover?
When you buy a document or pack, you get a non-exclusive licence to use and adapt it within your own single business, for as long as you need it. You can edit it freely for your own use. You can't resell, share, redistribute or publish the files, or pass them off as your own product. Full detail is in our Terms.
Do I get free updates when the law changes?
"Buy once, use forever" means the version you buy is yours to keep and use for good — but a purchase doesn't include free future updates or new versions. The law and guidance can change, so always check the current position for your business before you rely on a document.
Is VAT included, and can I get an invoice?
Prices shown include VAT. After each purchase you'll find aVAT receipt link in your account — a proper invoice you can download for your records.
Can I get a refund?
See our refunds page. Note that starting a download waives the 14-day cancellation right for digital products under UK consumer rules.
Does this work across the whole UK?
Yes — BossKit is built for UK small businesses. Some rules differ in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and where that matters a document says so. As always, check the current position for your nation and your trade.
